About North East India
North East India is eight states of hills, rivers and forests that most travellers only discover once they arrive. Our trips usually start in Guwahati and combine Meghalaya's waterfalls and root bridges, Assam's tea gardens and Kaziranga rhinos, and the high monasteries of Arunachal and Sikkim.
We plan every route around road times, permits and the season, with a private cab and a local team on call for the whole trip.
Best time to visit
October to April for clear skies; June to September for green hills and full waterfalls
How to reach
Guwahati (GAU) is the main gateway, with direct flights from most Indian metros and trains from across the country. Bagdogra (IXB) is the gateway for Sikkim and Darjeeling.

North East India trip FAQs
How many days do I need for North East India?
Plan 5–6 days for one or two states such as Meghalaya and Assam, and 10–12 days to add Arunachal or Sikkim without rushing.
Do I need permits?
Indian citizens need an Inner Line Permit for Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Mizoram, and permits for some areas of Sikkim. We arrange these for you once the trip is booked.
